Creative Projects & Cultural Collaborations
LizArtworks Finland OY develops exhibitions, wearable art installations, student collaborations, and Nordic–African cultural projects that explore identity, sustainability, and textile heritage. Through design, storytelling, and community engagement, these initiatives create spaces where cultures meet, ideas are exchanged, and textiles become a language connecting people across borders.

Our flagship store and café is more than a shop — it's a cultural meeting point where African heritage and Nordic design come together. The space features rotating exhibitions of handcrafted jewelry, wearable art, African paintings, and textiles alongside freshly brewed Ugandan coffee.

LizArtworks brings African-inspired fashion directly to the community through pop-up market stalls featuring live heat-press printing, custom t-shirts, and handmade accessories. These events connect with locals and visitors, demonstrating the craftsmanship behind every piece.

Every piece of beaded jewelry at LizArtworks is handcrafted in-studio using traditional African beading techniques. From Maasai-inspired bracelets to statement earrings, the process honours heritage craftsmanship while creating contemporary wearable art.

A curated collection of original African paintings and wood-carved art pieces displayed in the store. The gallery wall brings East African visual storytelling into a Nordic context, featuring landscapes, village scenes, and symbolic imagery carved into wood panels.

Our storefront window is a constantly evolving showcase that blends African textile traditions with Scandinavian aesthetics. Featuring ankara fabrics, beaded necklaces on display mannequins, and Ugandan coffee — it invites passersby into a cross-cultural experience.

LizArtworks runs hands-on workshops teaching beading techniques, pattern design, and textile printing. Open to students and community members, these sessions share the art of African craftsmanship while encouraging creative expression and cultural understanding.
